At only 5 months old, Wally should be playing with his family - chasing tennis balls, jumping in water, and snuggling on the couch with a loving family. Instead, Wally is recovering from a violent hit & run accident on August 28, 2023 - where he was left for dead on the side of the road.
However, thanks to a Good Samaritan, Wally was not left for dead. When law enforcement failed to help, another driver picked Wally up and brought him to the safety of a local veterinarian's office. With it being outside of normal business hours, no one was available to care for sweet Wally. The driver left him on the clinic grounds, with food and water, and a note explaining what she had witnessed happen to Wally.
Wally will be hospitalized for 8 weeks, while it is determined if his leg can heal, if amputation is necessary, and if he sustained nerve damage.
